What if you knew EXACTLY how to train yourself for all your outdoor adventures?
What new mountains would you climb? What treks would you trek?
As a fitness coach specializing in hikers, backpackers, and mountaineers, I have heard SO many of you ask for an in-depth, affordable self-coaching program.
Some of you even thought about getting certified as personal trainers.
(Which I can tell you from experience isn't a magic bullet. Guess how many hours my certification program spent on hiking fitness? Zero! What little sports conditioning content we actually covered was about things like ... basketball 😒.)
And to make things worse, there was really no effective self-coaching program out there that I could recommend to you.
So I decided to create one!
In this course, you'll learn exactly what you need to know to train yourself for your hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering adventures.
Through simple, step-by-step lessons, I'll show you how to:
Mountain Fit also includes 40 weeks of training plans that you can use as a starting point for your own program. Whether you're a brand new beginner or preparing for a high-altitude mountaineering trip, there's a plan for you!

Sarah's coaching fitness program gave new interest, variability, energy and intensity to my work outs. And if I'm training for a big adventure, where I really need to be in tip-top shape, I'm definitely coming to her for fun and amazing workouts, enthusiastic coaching and invaluable bits of wisdom about anything fitness.

Miss Adventure Pants really helped a ton with my summit climb on Orizaba. Her aerobic workouts and heavy pack training were especially useful. I could, in real time, feel the positive effects of many long hikes that had built up endurance and stamina. I'm no speed demon and pretty average at this stuff but building up little by little, following her training plans, was ultimately a core part of reaching the top. Mentally and physically her blogs and guidance were a great boost to get me up the mountain. Pretty euphoric about the whole thing. Whew!

I’m Sarah, a fitness coach who helps hikers get in the best shape of their lives for big trails and peaks. I'm a certified personal trainer with a master's degree in counseling from Colorado State University. I work with everyone from high-altitude mountaineers to beginners who are new to training.
To help you get the most out of training, I teach the Epic Endurance Roadmap. It's a simple blueprint to outdoor fitness, and it works whether you're starting from zero or getting ready to climb Everest. Once you learn this framework, you can use it for the rest of your life to train for hikes — and strengthen your body and mind.
I started my hiking career as a backpacking guide in Colorado's Mummy Range. Since then, I've climbed forty Colorado 14ers as well as big peaks in Turkey, Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico and the USA. As an instructor for the Colorado Mountain Club, I've helped dozens of students become safe and confident hikers, scramblers, and mountaineers. I started my blog Miss Adventure Pants in order to help adventurous souls just like you climb your mountain ... and just maybe blow your own mind.

I have worked with many trainers over the years and the cardio portion was something done before or after the session and without guidance, with Sarah it is cardio first with daily goals and detailed plans and tailored exercises based on my goals. You will excel and meet your goals working with Sarah.

I’m continuing to follow your training guidelines & seeing so much progress, it’s almost hard to believe!
When I did your beginner training plan the first time in May, I had a hard time walking the 45 minutes with >10# backpack - that was May 18. Yesterday was August 17, just 3 months later, & I hiked 4 miles, pretty hilly, in 93 minutes with the backpack. For me, it’s huge - I feel strong & competent again.
Thanks for your plans, support & advice. You have changed my life - & I’m not just being Lifetime TV dramatic. I was too overwhelmed to even begin & MAP got me moving & setting goals.
You are a ROCK STAR! ( oh - haha - REAL ROCKS star!)
